Guided Ski Tour to the Tristkogel

Every Thursday a certified mountain guide leads you from Langwied on the Kitzsteinhorn about 660 metres off-piste up to the 2,642-metre Tristkogel. The day starts with a short introduction to avalanche transceiver search, and along the way you pick up tips on skinning technique, choosing a track and spotting hazards.

After a break on the summit you ski down through untracked terrain. Meet at 08:30 in front of the ticket desks at the Kaprun Center; the climb takes about 3.5 hours. The tour costs 120 euros per person including safety equipment, lift ticket not included. You should ski black runs confidently; minimum four participants, booking via the Zell am See-Kaprun mountain guides.
