zellamseekaprun.at is an independent online travel magazine for the Zell am See–Kaprun region in Salzburg, Austria. It is published by Martin Pletzenauer, who lives in Zell am See. Since 2023 it has grown into a guide to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, Lake Zell, the Schmittenhöhe, hiking, skiing and day trips in the region.
What we are trying to do
Our goal is to present information about this beautiful spot on earth in a new and exciting way: well organised, honestly assessed, and detailed enough that you can actually plan a trip from it — not just read a list of sights.

This magazine is not owned by a tourist board, a lift company or a hotel. It is not commissioned or approved by the region. Recommendations are made editorially, and there are no paid placements in the articles.
