Kaprun Castle Festival 2026

From 17 to 19 July 2026, Kaprun Castle transforms into a vivid journey back to the Middle Ages. More than 400 performers bring the historic castle courtyard to life with a large medieval crafts market, an atmospheric tent city, music groups, artists and jesters. Families can enjoy a varied daytime and children’s programme, while the impressive evening spectaculum delivers goosebump moments. The highlight is the full-contact tournaments of the Alpine Warriors – the buhurt team battle on Saturday and the sword tournaments on Sunday, each followed by a ceremonial awards presentation.
