In summer 2026, a fifth, fully electric ship will join the fleet, making the experience even more sustainable.<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>MS Schmittenh\u00f6he<\/strong> (2005): the largest ship with 495 hp and room for 255 guests.<\/li><li><strong>MS Gro\u00dfglockner<\/strong> (1966): a classic with 147 hp.<\/li><li><strong>Kaiserin Elisabeth<\/strong> (1972): named after Sisi, with generous panoramic windows.<\/li><li><strong>Nostalgieschiff Libelle<\/strong> (1947): the historic gem with 90 hp.<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scheduled, panoramic and charter cruises<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scheduled crossings connect the piers around the lake and are ideal for getting comfortably from one shore to the other. Those who want to relax and take it all in choose a panoramic cruise along the leisurely round route. For special occasions such as weddings, corporate events or presentations, the ships can also be chartered exclusively.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enjoyment on board<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On board, the onboard catering takes care of your culinary needs: drinks, small snacks and pastries are served during the cruise. The sun deck of the MS Schmittenh\u00f6he is the perfect spot to take in the mountain scenery over a cup of coffee, while the Kaiserin Elisabeth&#8217;s panoramic windows offer an unobstructed view even in cooler weather.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An outing for the whole family<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The boat trip is a relaxed outing for young and old alike. The piers are centrally located and easy to reach on foot, by bike or by public transport, making it an ideal addition to a varied holiday day.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get to the boat trip<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main pier is located right in the centre of Zell am See, near the lakeshore and the Esplanade. It is only a few minutes&#8217; walk from Zell am See train station. Tip: the boat trip is often included with the Zell am See-Kaprun Sommercard, so it&#8217;s worth checking the current terms.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The best time for a boat trip<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From early summer into autumn, Lake Zell shows itself at its most beautiful.
