Whether in high summer or under deep snow in winter, the Kitzsteinhorn is an excursion destination that fascinates in every season.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Getting there &amp; cable cars<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From Kaprun, the modern 3K K-onnection cable car system carries you comfortably up the mountain. Across several sections you glide from the valley station up to Gipfelwelt 3000, enjoying magnificent views of glaciers and reservoir landscapes along the way. Wide pistes, snow parks, a superpipe as well as freeride and ski-touring options make the glacier a meeting point for winter-sports fans of every ability. For the 2025\/26 season, ski operations are planned from 11 October to 25 May.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nature &amp; national park<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Kitzsteinhorn lies in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the largest protected area in the Alps.
