SUMMARY:Christmas Tree Dive by the Water Rescue Service
DESCRIPTION:Every 25 December\, the ASBÖ Wasserrettung Zell am See retrieves a Christmas tree that divers have sunk 15 metres deep in Lake Zell. From 5pm\, rescue divers raise the tree ceremonially to the surface\, accompanied by a brass ensemble and a ring of torch-bearing swimmers\, before a small fireworks display closes the evening. Now in its 49th year\, the tradition draws locals and visitors to the Oberschneiderbucht bay\, where mulled wine and punch are served from a hut starting at 4pm.
